PostSubject: Recruitment   Recruitment I_icon_minitimeWed Feb 24, 2010 9:40 am

Hello, fellow raiders, BO (Blackout) is a casual PvE guild raiding 10-mans in Cataclysm.

Blackout was formed way back in TBC by bunch of friends, and has grown up into one of the top PvE guilds on Sporeggar's horde side. Due to the server's slow decay, the guild transferred to the realm of Kor'gall.

In WotLK, we have taken a break (probably for good) in 25-man raids at 9/12 ICC HM and currently stand at 6/7 HC in Firelands and we also did 2/13 HC in older T11 content in 10mans.

Our priority is to have reliable, skilled and friendly people in Blackout, so if you match that description, don't shy away from applying even if your class/spec is on low demand. But in any case, be aware that it is still 10man raiding = there are only 10 spots in actual raids, while guild needs more than 10 actual raiders for setup plays, absences and so on.

Right now, we would like to have some new faces in our raiding group, ideally some "keepers" that make it to a core group! These are in highest demand assuming you meet our standards:

Recruitment 50px-WoW_Hunter Hunter - a hunter that knows his class and can dish out some damage, may be less-than-ideally geared in that case
OR
Recruitment 50px-WoW_Mage Mage - not a priority, but a good one would be helpful as we are sometimes lacking ranged

Recruitment 50px-WoW_Druid Druid - a great boomkin would sure be nice, OS healer gear for Morchok welcome
OR
Recruitment 50px-WoW_Priest Priest - very good shadowpriest preferrably with healing off-spec again

* If you are applying as a tank or healer it'll be good to have a usable DPS offspec for those one tank / two healers fights. This will allow you to participate in the raid instead of being switched out for the moment. Same for DPS classes that have useful off-specs.

Basic Applicant Information

We want to focus on quality raiding with as little downtime on possible. We have two fixed raiding days, that are THURSDAY and SUNDAY. Otherwise we try to get a RBG going on TUESDAY.
We will generally just check you out in our raids as far as trials go with some talking before that.

We require certain things from members to keep things going. If you fail on that, we will part ways:

  • Active and on time - you show up for all raids you signed for in calendar, unless you made an absence note / told an officer. When raid invites start, you need to be ready with consumables, repaired and all.
  • Prepared for raid - apart from having required consumables like flasks and food you also know all tactics. No bloody enchanting after raid start too.
  • Know you class - This means we want to focus on raiding in the time we have, not teaching people how their class works. Find information about your class/spec/gems/enchants for yourself and keep that up-to-date. Share on forum, but do not count on other to teach you.
  • Loot information - We will use a form of rolling with loot council consisting of present officers. As an applicant/triallist the chance of getting loot is minimal, higher ranks take priority. Just do not QQ about loot, kay?
  • It is your job to take care of your application - Be in touch and amaze us in raid and we will take you instantly. Shy away from forum and show mediocre performance in raid and we will just forget about you.
  • If you stand in fire all the time, I do not care about your dps. If you survive no matter what but tanks laugh ar your dps, you are also out. You get your job done while not making problems to others and we will be fine. We want to focus on getting better as a team, not making up for personal mistakes.
  • Fore more informtaion contact Scarletlady, Aleandra or Seffes via whisper or in-game mail.

After we started more casual 10mans, many times we just do some talking with applicants in game, but if you manage to be a fan of applications - by all means go ahead and all the kudos to you, kind graphoman. Very Happy
